Sunday, February 14, 2016 - Italian Samples - Value-Priced Wines: Deep ruby color. Less candied on the nose than the regular 2014, this shows deeper plum and black cherry aromas along with earth, violets and coffee. Nicely structured with medium-grain tannins, medium acid, a velvety mouthfeel. Flavors of black cherries and plums, the fruit is juicy and mixed with oak, vanilla, roasted chestnut and loam notes.
