Wednesday, November 17, 2010 - Expressive aroma of ripe and almost cooked blueberry and butter cake, some cream and oak, notes of cassis and flowers. Rich palate of cooked black fruit and toast, drying and almost attacking tannin with some acidity, robust and powerful, concentrated and full bodied, Medium to long pleasant sweet finish of ripe blueberry with mouth-watering acidity.
The nose was really introducing. More St Emilion-like than last time, but still atypical. An excellent wine that's rich in fruit but only reduced by the attacking tannin. It will be great when the tannin has integrated, and hopefully I can give it a truly deserved mark. Good wine for food.
