Monday, September 9, 2019 - Densely colored wine. More opaque than I'd expect from Oregon. Nose of macerated, almost brandied cherries, tomato leaf, cinnamon and cedar. A light incense-like sandalwood quality. A bit more body than the acid can balance, so it feels a bit flabby on the palate for me. Spicy, with flavors of griotte cherries, cinnamon, allspice and a zippy, almost oregano herbal quality. More sandalwood. It's pleasant enough but missing some of the minerality, acid and finesse I'd like in an Oregon Pinot. The kirsch-like quality makes it an alright sipper.
