Saturday, February 17, 2024 - Clear medium garnet with lots of fine/medium sediment; clean medium plus nose of bruised fruit, dried cassis, balsamic and a pretty florality; dry; high acidity; high tannins; high alcohol; medium body; pronounced flavour intensity; palate is tarter with addition of leather and fennel; long finish; more developed than I was expecting; based on this bottle, I wouldn’t wait much longer to drink my other bottles; bruised fruit note lingered the entire evening and was a little off-putting; purchased at auction - off bottle?
