Sunday, January 22, 2012 - Decanted for 2hr, nose somewhat closed, fantastic mid palate with loads of dark fruits, silky smooth tannins. Waited another 2hr, nose opened up, mid palate is much more complex, cedar cigar box, earthy, body gets thicker but ultra refined tannins, well balanced, a piece of art, long long finish. It was drinking along with 2002 chateau Pavie. Both are refined, this one is a bit young with great aging potential. Pavie is ready to drink and great bouque and color. Both are Unbelieveable. What a night to celebrate the year of Dragon eve.
