Sunday, September 27, 2015 - Opaque ruby. Nose of blackcurrant, graphite, and cedar. Mocha and dried fruit, supported by a backbone of oak and minerality, in the mouth. Drying tannins. Low acidity comes up short. Needs time for the oak and tannins to better integrate. Drink 2018 through 2030.

9/27/2015 6:14:00 PM - Thanks for your note and rating. We sipped a bottle last year and one this year. We think your observation of "backbone of oak and minerality" gives us hope for sipping the balance of our bottles over the coming decade or so. Nice wine!
