Thursday, October 29, 2015 - Annual Comparative Bordeaux Tasting (2000/2005) (Chicago, IL): This is a Lynch that really throws its weight around. Super powerful and tough as nails. I've noticed that there seems to be a compromise between fruit and acidity between 05 and 00 Bordeaux (more acid on the 2000s, more fruit on 2005s), but in the case of Lynch, no such compromise has been made. This is definitely more closed down than the 2000, but the acidity here is just as vibrant. I'm very optimistic.

10/30/2015 6:01:00 PM - Thanks for your note and rating. Yes, we recently enjoyed the 2005 LB. Across the board - at least that we have tried - sipping nicely now. We have opted for the 2007s at the moment as they really are showing well. Sounds like a fun event!
