Thursday, March 14, 2024 - Managed to nab more of these since the last time I had them down at Maison Pic. Slow ox-ed in bottle, and boy it needed that oxygen to show. Giant step up in class over the Morey 1er Cru and stark contrast in style to the ripe 2015 village cru. This had bigger nose, plusher fruits and higher toned acid. Silky elegance in the mouth despite the perceived extraction on the nose. Roumier game still very strong here, although today, it didn't pack as much oomph as the last time, rather, more reserved. Looking forward to the rest of them.
