93 Points

Sunday, September 4, 2011 - A beauty of a wine. Early on, it still showed some youthful reticence, especially on the grippy/peppery finish, but it opened up nicely in the 3+ hours of its consumption. Last sip was definitely the best -- fully open, showing lots of grace, sweetness, and full flavors of berry & garrigue, along with notes reminiscent of blood orange bitters and flower water. Bottles like this can go 5-7 years still.
