Monday, June 20, 2016 - Labeled as 14.5% abv. The color is a deep purple-red and it is opaque. This has a nice savory aspect and tastes mature but not tired or faded. I pick up the flavor of dark berries, a bit of pepper, maybe some umami. I didn't detect heat from the alcohol. It drinks easily and was good with broiled lamb chop and both baked potato and home fries.
