Monday, June 5, 2017 - NobleRottersSydney - blind Shiraz (360 Bar & Dining, Sydney): {screwcap, 14%} (Greg) Near black wine. Intense blackberry aromas, rich and ripe, even a bit fumey with heat. The palate is fresher though, helped by a very Clare spearmint quality to the black berry flavours. Soft dusty tannins, medium body, even medium finish; this is very much a baby and seems to have another 8-10 easy years of development, due to its inherent balance, a quality which I reckon’s been in shorter supply tonight. But, best to wait awhile.
