Sunday, December 25, 2011 - Deeply coloured but bright garnet. Nose is rather shy and focused. Cherry fruit, damson, smoke and polished leather can be discerned along some vanilla notes. Very clean but closed. Palate of medium weight with nice fluid texture and clean finish. Wine has reached drinking window and is some way before full maturity. Beautiful overall with fantastic texture and mouthfeel but could have been more expressive.
