Saturday, January 20, 2024 - In the zone. Greatly enjoyed. Medium bodied and floral upon double decant with little sediment. Re-corked post decant, traveled an hour, kept in bottle for 5 hours and decanted for an hour (focused on not having sediment ruin it before knowing little there). Didn’t need more, maybe less but lasted several hours until gone with no decline. Questioned whether PnP could have been appropriate given floral but didn’t try; plan was set. Tanins resolved. Was really excellent. Agree with spices, herbs, refined finish and good for another 10 years (at least), hopefully close to double that if 33%/33%/33%. Very strong year on left bank and Pauillac.
