4/23/2013 11:53:00 PM - I trust you're being sarcastic when you say 'solid note'. I can't understand any of it. Total bastardisation of the English language - pathetic note.

4/24/2013 8:07:00 AM - On the to contrary, Rupert, I knew the poster to be from Singapore. When I was learning to speak Italian, I appreciated people that recognized my efforts (to learn), however poor they might have been at the time. By the way, nice cellar!

    cheers,

4/25/2013 6:21:00 AM - I understand he's from Singapore, and I'm not criticising his grammar or indeed spelling, but if you look at ALL his other notes, he writes as if he's writing text (SMS) messages. (This is one of the better ones!)

There are vowels in 'bottle', it's not 'bttl'. 'Nothing' is not written as 'ntg'. 'Got' is not 'gt'. 'Came' is not written 'cm', and 'gave' is not 'gve'. Surely you agree that it is not his lack of English that is the problem, but that he is a lazy writer.

Anyone, including (and especially) me, can appreciate someone making an effort in a foreign language, but when it's incomprehensible through apathy, it makes me frustrated. This is a wine note - not an SMS!

I've read his note over a dozen times and I still can't make sense of it. It gives me a headache just looking at it.

I'm glad you like my cellar - I hope to be still alive when they're 'drinking'. Or should I say - "i hp 2 b stl alv whn thyr 'drnkg'..." ;-)

4/25/2013 6:33:00 AM - Yes, apathy. Sadly, there is that. Sigh.

I too hope you're alive and healthy when your cellar 'comes in' - what great fun it will be.

    ciao amico mio
