Friday, April 14, 2023 - I really liked this wine a lot. Decanted and it opened very quickly, and I think the time to drink is within 1-4 hours after decanting. The nose was indistinct floral and the color was brick red with sediment. The palate was straight up black cherry, sweetened black cherry, my friend said a little anise, I got unsweetened cola, and the tannins were fully resolved. Not especially fruit forward and not a tart wine. It was delicious and this wine is a dink now or kiss it goodbye; that's my opinion.

It presents as mature claret, with fully integrated tannins. This wine has aromas and tastes of ripe sweet red cherries along with black cherries, black tea, florals, and cedar. I also noted some herbal flavors of basal and anise. There is an elegance and finesse that reminds me of an aged burgundy. Moderate to full bodied, balanced and round. Drink now.
