Saturday, November 13, 2010 - This looks extremely youthful in the glass with a deep dark core and a bright vibrant red rim.
On the nose this comes off really tannic, you can just smell it. It gives you a good idea of the shear size of this wine. Notes of herbs and a touch of gravel are all that make it through the massive rich dark fruits that waft from the glass.
Dry palate with high tannic structure. This was built to last. Highly concentrated dark fruits that are not to jammy but quite pure in flavor. Notes of violet sneak through the fruit body as well as a real fresh oak, violets and a bit of earth. Wow this comes of really classy, its hard to put it into words but this will be fantastic in 10+ years. Very racy acidity to this as well. Balanced even at this age.
Drink from 2020 + but this will be best from 2030 +
Extraordinary Quality 96 pts.
