There's an unusual element of what I'll call sweet spiciness to the nose and palate that I've never before noticed from this source. It's beguiling, and this was a terrific wine with plenty of dimension, but that extra seasoning almost wound up being a distraction for me. While I'm left a bit curious, I'm not complaining.
