Saturday, June 5, 2010 - Struck me as somewhat atypical not just for Raveneau but for Chablis as well. There's an unusual element of what I'll call sweet spiciness to the nose and palate that I've never before noticed from this source. It's beguiling, and this was a terrific wine with plenty of dimension, but that extra seasoning almost wound up being a distraction for me. While I'm left a bit curious, I'm not complaining.
