90 Points

Sunday, June 12, 2016 - I took delivery of my small collection of Dauvissat 2014's a few weeks ago, and I couldn't resist trying a bottle of this one. At present it is remarkably supple and juicy, floral and rounded - no doubt there is some puppy fat hiding the minerality, and I can relate to Motz's Grenache Blanc association in his TN below; herbs and lemon, almost invisible wood, relatively ripe acidity, relaxed but not glib; good aromatic persistence on the finish. Not for the long term, but one or two years in bottle should improve precision and bring out the terroir expression. Drink 2017-2020.
