Wednesday, February 14, 2024 - Perhaps stating the obvious, this was an improvement over the ‘14 painted rock CS i recently had. Nose of ripe cherry, dark fruit and some cedar. On the palate the cherry note is prominent but sharp, and short. There is some heat still present and the tannins are pleasing. Had w tomato based pasta, which hid the alcohol and softened the tannin.
