Saturday, November 12, 2016 - On the nose there are almost volatile aromas of ripe plums, vanilla and black pepper; the weak palate is juicy but nervous and desperately lacks structure and balance, the flavours are highly strung; the finish has good length, but it is slightly drying, with notes of liquorice. Not entirely without merit, but for € 10 this ought to be much better. A useful but expensive ingredient for a venison stew.
