Tuesday, April 2, 2019 - Opened one hour before pairing with vodka penne pasta with spicy antibiotic-free Italian sausage. A deep ruby in the glass with good color out to the edges, with slow-forming legs. The very nice nose features classic nebbiolo blue fruits, cedar, licorice, and a hint of violet. Quite ripe and dense, with good balancing acidity, and a long finish. I was of the impression that this is still approaching peak; it is certainly not past peak for well-stored examples. Another amazing QPR from Last Bottle Wines!
