Tannins have receded from the overpowering level they once were at, but they’re still present. Alcohol is 14.1%, and it’s not hidden. Nose is okay. Palate has some red berries. Pretty good. Paired well with pork loin.

Pours an orangey red with thinning edges. Very aromatic on the nose, with candied raspberries, citrus, sandalwood, and incense. Medium+ bodied, spicy, with excellent acidity and length, with a few drying tannins. This was a superb pairing with rigatoni and red marinara and spicy Italian sausages! Glad to have a few more bottles! Great QPR!
last bottle and now at the right place. medium density ruby with light bricking at the rims. tar, rose, cotton candy, and fennel on the nose. medium plus acidity and medium bodied, fresh and lively. flavors slightly stewed cherries, raspberries, red plum, and sweet tobacco. a little heat and polish. thin fine tannin on the back end. finishes long with a lingering pipe tobacco and anise combo. at ten years old a great bottle of wine for the price.

Opened one hour before pairing with vodka penne pasta with spicy antibiotic-free Italian sausage. A deep ruby in the glass with good color out to the edges, with slow-forming legs. The very nice nose features classic nebbiolo blue fruits, cedar, licorice, and a hint of violet. Quite ripe and dense, with good balancing acidity, and a long finish. I was of the impression that this is still approaching peak; it is certainly not past peak for well-stored examples. Another amazing QPR from Last Bottle Wines!
