Friday, February 16, 2018 - Popped and poured and this wine starts off by throwing some significant funk--like fresh tilled wet earth and wet coffee grounds. When given the chance to open up, I start to get a bit more fruit, mainly blackberry.
On the palate, this wine shows black olive and black fruit that started showing on the nose, like plum and blackberry.
It's an interesting wine overall, but I would prefer to see purer fruit to balance out the significant savory notes of this wine.

with a beautiful long finish.
