Sunday, August 6, 2017 - A private lunch (The Pipe and Glass Inn *, South Dalton, UK): A blend of 80% Grenache, 10% Syrah, 5% Cinsault and 5% Carignan, 14% ABV. The Vaucluse project of the Brunier brothers of Vieux Télégraphe fame, bottled at the domaine. Very light colour, pale strawberry red; bright and fresh nose, floral, minerally, red berries, sous-bois and some smoke; supple and succulent strawberry and cherry palate, transparent, as light as a Frühburgunder from the Ahr, elegant and with nice warmth from the wood; very good resonance and length. So far south, this is an amazing feat of winemaking. Delightful.
