They're aiming for the elegant side of grenache. And they almost succeed. Strawberry, a little bit thin on fruit and balance (too much etoh, too little tannins), but impressive nonetheless. Tending towards burgundy-style. When they get it right I will stock up.

Strong strawberry nose. Bright with pleasant acidity. We liked it better on the second night so we recommend decanting if you’re going to drink it all on one night. It was insipid on the first night. It needs to breathe!

A private lunch (The Pipe and Glass Inn *, South Dalton, UK): A blend of 80% Grenache, 10% Syrah, 5% Cinsault and 5% Carignan, 14% ABV. The Vaucluse project of the Brunier brothers of Vieux Télégraphe fame, bottled at the domaine. Very light colour, pale strawberry red; bright and fresh nose, floral, minerally, red berries, sous-bois and some smoke; supple and succulent strawberry and cherry palate, transparent, as light as a Frühburgunder from the Ahr, elegant and with nice warmth from the wood; very good resonance and length. So far south, this is an amazing feat of winemaking. Delightful.

Excellent value for the $20 price point. Ruby(light) color and like the other notes suspiciously so. Strawberry jam/pie nose. First note in a long time kinda rusty but loving this bargain leftover from Thanksgiving. Drank with rare ny strip with grilled tomatoes and burrata.

This wine is fabulous- incredibly balanced, ripe, perfect acid/flesh component, bright, and long- great fruit and the finish on each sip demands that you drink one more. I don't just like this wine, I LOVE this wine. 2014 is the Vintage to try- served it at my wedding and would love to do it all over again! Superb- what wine should be.

Such a good wine; can't say enough about this! Had the '13 at my wedding, loved it, and the '14 is just as enjoyable. Ripe, red fruit, light to medium bodied, luscious and drinkable, very clean, very well made. Definite crowd pleaser. '13 91pts '14 90+ It has a touch of old world flare- how Grenache should be.

Hmm. Dubiously light ruby hue for combining 4 super-heavyweight grapes: grenache, syrah, carignan and cinsault. It should be dark and tongue-staining but instead felt too bright—like they limited skin contact to make a smoother wine to drink now and then over-acidified with a pinch too much tartaric. It wasn’t *bad* and has some classic southern Rhone character—a few more years in bottle may also help—but at this stage seemed about 80% natural and 20% modeled as if they were trying to sculpt a Beaujolais. I love the Bruniers for their Vieux Telegraphe and have enjoyed Le Pigoulet in other vintages, but I’ll pass on this one.

Somehow seems less big than as in years past, probably as it was opened in conjunction with an over-oaked California temperenillo. Noticed good acid and velvety garrigue-enhanced flavors. I've always found this cuvee seems more in tune with the spicy burgundian side of CdP rather than the brawn of that appellation or of CdR. Very Good.

14% vol Light-mid ruby appearance Pretty nose of sappy red fruits, offering a touch of something more blue and perfumed. Showing some intensity on the palate, some density to the core but overall quite light. Not peppery but a touch of spice. Possibly a little short. This can be an awkward wine to taste young, and while it is attractive today, it doesn’t feel particularly special or impressive to me.

Very light. Pale. Not much there on the first day. On the second day it was soft and round, quite delicious for a light red.

Drunk at my July 4 BBQ. Managed to grab a small taste and it was chock full of floral aromas and just had a great mouthfeel.
