Sunday, May 22, 2022 - Top shoulder fill. The usual thick mold on top of the cork but otherwise cork in good condition. Pnp. Very slight off smell upon pulling the cork but blows of quickly. Surprisingly young light and clear garnet with only the slightest browning towards the rim. Forest floor on the nose. On the palate there is still some dark fruit, and wow some pencil lead and iron too, still good balance on the medium body. Again some forest floor. Fairly short finish, but hey, this is a mid tier Bordeaux at age 56. More Pauillac than Margaux in style if one can still talk about style at that age.
