Sunday, March 17, 2013 - This bottle is absolutely humming. On the nose there’s sweet cedar, smoked meats, dried flowers, sage and mint. It is quite generous in the mouth with delicious sweet fruit that is countered with plenty of savoury nuance. Acidity is still brisk and gives the wine vitality and lift and there’s still just a suggestion of chewy tannins on the finish. It is a Bordeaux for the Burg drinker as you keep being drawn into the wine’s sensual perfume.
