NOSE: Day 1: tight; touch of sweet balsamic vinegar; raspberry; stony mineral. Day 4: no more sweet balsamic; earthy dark red fruits --- reserved.

BODY: medium-light bodied; garnet-violet color of medium depth.

TASTE: Day 1: red-fruited; medium tannin; typical D&R Mourvedre, ergo atypical Mourvedre; 13% alc. not noticeable; paired very well with steak & couscous; definitely improves with air; these d*mn D&Rs --- I just can't decide if I should keep buying or not --- they seem to occupy the same practical space as Gamay and Pinot Noir. Day 4: fuller, more typical Mourvedre flavor today; still with high acidity; hole in mid palate; dark red fruits.
