91 Points

Friday, January 15, 2016 - Like it's neighbour the Clos des Epeneaux this vineyard was hit even harder by hail losing almost 90% of its yield. It's miraculous anything was made let alone a wine of this calibre. There is a lovely fresh nose followed by unusual hints of coffee and caramel on the palate. It's not as elegant and high-toned as Clos des Epeneaux, but boy it's stuffed full of rich material. Unlike other wines from this vintage this will need 10-12 years before broaching. Estimated maturity: 2025+
