Saturday, April 20, 2024 - I had my issues with bottle quality and cork consistency some years ago, but the remaining bottles Of this 2001 are now getting better and better. This one again a step up, with tannins now starting to be fully melted, succulent salinity outbalancing the ripe sweetness of this classic St estephe and spice and forest floor notes making the bed for a lingering finale. Great wine in the right place at the moment. An hour of decant benefits the wine.
