Monday, June 13, 2011 - From the Friday Night Cellar Circuit -- a youthful wine entering early maturity. A bit shy at first in spite of several hours decanting. Complex in nose and palate, with mineral, blackberry, spicebox, and cassis taking the forefront. This wine had a finish that continued to build as the bottle went on. Could be at the tail end of a dumb phase -- promises better days to come! This wine is one of the best examples of the outstanding quality and QPR of the 2001 vintage.
