Saturday, September 21, 2013 - Dark crimson in color, the 2001 Cos is a sleeper for the vintage. Still youthful, but it's excellently structured, medium/full bodied, silky texture, there are earth, cocoa, black fruits on the nose and the palate. Sweet, fine tannins provide a round, plush mouth feel. Medium finish with notes of tobacco smoke, tea leaf and jam. Hold it for a few more years or give it a good amount of decant if drinking now.
