Thursday, December 25, 2014 - Oh my. Opened and decanted for 90 minutes before enjoying with Christmas dinner of rib roast. Lots of notes of butter, cream, raisin and cranberry on the nose. Again with the butter on the tongue, but it also coated and subdued the mouth with earthy tones of soil and rock, thyme and rosemary. It made me want to speak softly and think of the past and old friends. A wonderful wine experience at the peak of its drinking window.
