Thursday, June 13, 2019 - Excellent showing. This is mature and clearly in the peak drinking window. Tannins are super smooth now and there are evolved earthy flavors to complement the round fruit finish. Light roast coffee and even a little smidge of corvina / amarone on the nose plus some smoky meats.

This was a lovely bottle. Better than the last 1996 cos d'Estournel I drank. Will revisit the 1996 again soon and compare them.
