Saturday, December 9, 2017 - Decanted for about 2 hours before consumption. I few days ago I had a 2013 River Block, which was the best bottle of wine I've had in about a year. This wine presented similar elements to the River Block on the nose, including plum and cherry, with a touch of cola and some spice notes. I got a touch of oak; not a ton of acidity. Finish is nice, but it lacks the candied cherry that I got from the River Block. Terrific bottle nonetheless.
