Wednesday, May 20, 2015 - 70s French Wines (Jade Palace Seafood Restaurant, Forum): Dark Ruby with vibrant hue and brickish tinge. Nice color.
It opens up nicely with loads of blackcurrant, cherry and hints of earth and leather. It continue to develop some deep soil and rustic nose in the glass.
Showing nice fruits on palate but it has a distinct mineral, iron notes, along with earth, tobacco and hints of soy sauce. Good freshness on palate. Soft chewy tannins with long finish.
It has a strong showing tonight and very pleasant but still humbled by the fabulous St. Émilion duo that tasted tonight.
