Sunday, January 29, 2017 - Delicate, at only 12.5% alcohol, but absolutely delicious. I found black fruits (blackberry, blackcurrant, black raisin) and black pepper in the forepalate, and a charming lily-like floral character at the end. I could just drink this stuff anytime. Syrah does well in many parts of the world, but I don't think anyone else will ever catch up to what the French do with it.

We were served this at dinner by some dear friends.
