Monday, July 6, 2020 - dark dark red, brick rim - effusive nose of blackberries, cassis, and mocha - somewhat more complexity than last year - full fat rich mouth up front, but less so the middle, as before - very nice acid-tannin-fruit balance - long 20-30 second finish, slight bitterness - very well developed California cab that is beginning to express more elegance than previously - most of the earlier tasting notes were focused on the wine's youthful exuberance, rather than its potential for development with age - I'll keep my last bottle another 3-5 years before I would decide on my final judgement
