Sunday, November 26, 2017 - Coravin tasting. Blind against an excellent 2015 oaked pinot noir from the Mosel in Luxembourg (I guessed them wrong, thinking this was the Luxembourg wine!)
Nose seems more volatile, balsamic like, shyer than other, hardly nothing now. Not as intense or classy on the palate. Nice tannin, oak on the finish. No noticeable fruit. 2nd taste: A little better now. Winey on the finish. This is very reticent. Mouthfeel not as good as the other wine.
Quite tannic on 3rd sip. Very shy. May just need time.
