Saturday, April 13, 2013 - A very promising cab that needs a good 10 or 15 years to come into its own. This is a big wine with loads of structure. Cassis, powdered cocoa, caramel and a bit of earth on the nose, full bodied and rich in the mouth, long finish. It might be marked down a little as being a bit more extracted than might be desired, but I think that will help the fruit hold up in the long run. I might get a coupe more bottles of this to tuck away. I suspect that it will be a gorgeous bottle given enough time to develop.
