A very promising cab that needs a good 10 or 15 years to come into its own. This is a big wine with loads of structure. Cassis, powdered cocoa, caramel and a bit of earth on the nose, full bodied and rich in the mouth, long finish. It might be marked down a little as being a bit more extracted than might be desired, but I think that will help the fruit hold up in the long run. I might get a coupe more bottles of this to tuck away. I suspect that it will be a gorgeous bottle given enough time to develop.

Kinda funny for a Cali Cab -- more Rhone on the nose than anything else, with pepper, mushrooms and forest floor on the nose. A light cherry color and (too) thin mouthfeel, but it is interesting enough to keep it in the 90's -- tart and salty, but enough weight to it to make it a good food wine, although maybe not a sipper. Not sure I'd search for it again, but a decent choice nonetheless.
Few days later -- revising score to 88 from 91. Still kinda weak and thin.

Solid wine. Full bodied, a bit tart, cherries, a bit thin but I like it. Seems like it could improve with age.

Pleasantly surprised by this wine. Dark color violet color, smells of cassis and spice box. Would not have pegged this as from Sonoma.
