Saturday, May 21, 2022 - Fully saturated robe in the deep purple range. Surprisingly fast legs for the stated 13% ABV. Nose of blue and black fruits, tight at first, then opening into menthol, herbs, and leather. Tannins still quite active, but balanced well by bright acid. Overall a pleasing, slightly austere package that works well with lamb (gigot) or sausage. Plenty of evolution to come ... to be revisited in a year or so.
