Served blind with Leroy 1991 NSG - Beaumount and Chevillon NSG (Les St Georges)
Floral lift (classic Leroy nose) with dried dark berry and spice nose. Touch of forest floor to boot speaks of complexity from the get go.
Big black cherry flavors with dark earthy component. Still at this age a pretty powerful wine with rustic edge. Good sweet flavors dominate with soft texture feel.
Not a pretty wine, but ripe, complex and big. This really improved in the glass while peers faded. Impressive stuff with good life ahead.
