Wednesday, April 21, 2021 - Upside surprise, as more recent vintages have not impressed. Warm and sweet aromatics of red cherry, red plum, dried herbs, dusty leather, field flowers and cedar. Medium palate with concentrated flavors of cherry, plum and cedar. Spicy tannins round out the finish. Benefited from aging. Freshest in first hour, but (of course, it's Italian!) went well with food. Very good.
