Friday, January 25, 2013 - Big wine, but not over the top in ripeness, ie: no prune or raisin flavors. Slight barnyard, but just the right amount, not too funky. More horse saddle and thankfully no bandaid. Big lush mouth, ripe tannins. I think in hotter vintages this could get to be over the top, but in 2004 it works quite well. Thanks, Lars. Drinking well, seems balanced enough to age further.
