Thursday, January 28, 2016 - No formal notes as enjoyed on an evening out with friends. The 2002 is an intense purple-red in the glass and is very aromatic from the start. The wine was beautiful after only a 30 minutes' breath in the bottle, but after an hour it was getting more and more delicious with every sip. There are soft black fruits on the nose and pallet. Acidity levels are fresh, tannins are very silky and the finish is very long. This is outstanding Saint Julien that is showing no signs of age and will likely keep for a long time to come.
