Wednesday, December 13, 2023 - I bought some bottles a few years ago on the recommendation of Jeff Leve. I tried one or two and thought they had a peculiar taste. I hoped a few years in the cellar would help. It hasn't. This is now a horrible wine. I can't even stand to keep it in my mouth long enough to describe it. My wife, who is much more tolerant, also can't stand to drink it. I will open my remaining bottles to be sure that this wasn't just a bad bottle. If they are the same, down the sink they will go. Addendum: I just opened another bottle. It is also awful. Mostly I get VERY tannic, almost burning my mouth. Also sweet and a bad taste. I can't leave it in my mouth long, and I certainly didn't swallow any. My wife says, "it's a bad wine." Third bottle: really foul!

12/14/2023 10:06:00 AM - I suspect you had a flawed bottle. I've had several of these and they were decent. Not amazing but a solid value wine. Somewhat modern in style without being over-the-top. CT notes and critical scores also suggest a solid enough wine. Given all of that, you'd assume probably a flawed bottle.
