Monday, December 1, 2014 - Weekly tasting group #145; Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2005 (@ VD): Beautiful and concentrated bouquet with explicit ripe blueberries and blackberries, vanilla and coffee. Same on the palate with beautiful spiciness, sweet licorice and a beautiful balance between acidity and sweetness. Soft and round tannin with still a beautiful bite. Early maturity now and potential until 2020+.
