Fruit is relatively subdued at this point in the wine’s evolution, though at first whiff I do get muskmelon, followed by a subdued apple note. However, it is the saline and mineral nature of this wine that makes its special. It is an elegant wine, it doesn’t knock you out and make you say wow. Rather, it slowly grows on you and you eventually realize you are drinking an extremely fine wine. I have one bottle left, I think I will revisit in a few years, as I expect it may develop more complexity
