See previous notes. In good place. The energy and bracing acidity has mellowed out. Lemon, Wax, petrol and flint. Has several more years of improvement in its evolution.

See previous notes. Medium yellow in glass. Lemon-lime, salinity, and flint. Deep. Medium intensity on the nose. Uplifting acidity coupled with a lingering long finish.

NOSE: stone-scented; warm, yellow berry jams; peppermint straw; MOUTH: sleek, organized, bittersweet mineral thrust, grippy and polished with lees, jam packed with tightly bundled, linear arrangements of red apple peel, cassis, grapefruit, and salted rose. A good example of the aesthetics of internal contrast: carefully aligned texture unexpectedly bursting with flavor energy. Broadly appealing; towering in significance.

If you love mineral wines, this is your Riesling. Fruit is relatively subdued at this point in the wine’s evolution, though at first whiff I do get muskmelon, followed by a subdued apple note. However, it is the saline and mineral nature of this wine that makes its special. It is an elegant wine, it doesn’t knock you out and make you say wow. Rather, it slowly grows on you and you eventually realize you are drinking an extremely fine wine. I have one bottle left, I think I will revisit in a few years, as I expect it may develop more complexity

Medium yellow in glass. Medium + nose with petrol, minerality and lemon-lime sprite. High acidity balanced well with some residual sugar. Long finish.
